The new F1 cars with the 18 inch wheels are going to look like that too. This is what happens when rotor size is restricted to fit within a 13 inch wheel and then you force teams to run giant wheels.

Regenerative braking, plus lower speeds vs F1, while still being quite light, plus c arbon-ceramic rotors and other fancy shit = don’t need no honkin’ big brakes .
